Knives Out was definitely one of the wackier films of 2019, with Daniel Craig bringing to life an unusual detective tasked with solving a family murder.

The stellar cast of Jamie Curtis, Toni Colette, Don Johnson, Christopher Plummer, and Chris Evans certainly had a hand in the feature grossing $247 million worldwide, while Craig’s portrayal earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy.

The No Time to Die actor will need to dust off his southern accent as Rian Johnson, who wrote and directed the film, has now confirmed that a sequel is in the works!

Leaving the Drysdale / Thrombey clan behind, the follow-up film will focus on Craig’s Detective Benoit Blanc as he investigates a new case. The 51-year-old is reportedly keen for round two, with Johnson’s producing partner Ram Bergman saying, “Daniel had so much fun doing it, and he wants to do more.”

Lionsgate has yet to greenlight the project, but based on the success of the original, we have no doubt that they’ll get their knives out again.
