Kathryn Hahn is set to star in and executive produce a limited series about Joan Rivers who passed away seven years ago.

The New York-born comedienne was notorious for her biting wit which often placed fellow celebrities and politicians in the firing line. Her 55-year career came to an abrupt end on September 4th, 2014 when she passed away from complications suffered during a routine throat procedure at the age of 81.

Warner Bros. is currently developing a series in conjunction with Showtime called The Comeback Girl that will feature Hahn as the late comedienne. As mentioned, the Emmy nominee will also serve as executive producer alongside Greg Berlanti who is responsible for shows like You and The Flight Attendant.

The forthcoming series will focus on a rocky period in Rivers’ life following the cancellation of her show, The Late Show Starring Joan Rivers, and the death of her husband, Edgar Rosenberg.

Considering the successful career Rivers had until her death, The Comeback Girl is a fitting title.
