We’ve stopped trying to make “fetch” happen, but the team behind Mean Girls is hoping to strike lucky again.

Tina Fey created a classic that has perfectly captured many a high school girl’s experience when she wrote Mean Girls in 2004. The comedy included lines that are repeated to this day and made stars of Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, and Amanda Seyfried.

In 2017, a Broadway musical was created with Fey writing the book herself. So popular was the musical… that it’s now making its way back to the big screen! Paramount Pictures is making a movie based on Mean Girls: The Musical.

“I’m very excited to bring Mean Girls back to the big screen,” Fey said. “It’s been incredibly gratifying to see how much the movie and the musical have meant to audiences. I’ve spent 16 years with these characters now. They are my Marvel Universe, and I love them dearly.”

Get in, we’re going filming!
