While Kermit would like to tell us more, but Legal Weasel stopping him from delving too deep into detail, we can confirm that an unscripted Muppets series is heading to Disney’s upcoming streaming service.

Muppets Now will feature the Muppets alongside celebrity guest stars in a forum that Disney describes as featuring “startling silliness and heartfelt fun.”

From the official Disney announcement: “Forty years after leaving the swamp in his big-screen debut in The Muppet Movie, Kermit the Frog is heading upstream with Miss Piggy, and the gang, bringing a new kind of mayhem and laughter to Disney+ with their first-ever unscripted short-form series, Muppets Now.”

There are no other details regarding the launch date and an episode count.

“I’d love to tell you more, but Joe The Legal Weasel is right behind me. Gulp,” added Kermit on his Twitter.
