“A.P. Bio” Revived for Season 3

Patton Oswalt and Glenn Howerton in "A.P. Bio"

NBCUniversal’s new streaming platform’s first scripted comedy will be the initially canceled NBC comedy A.P. Bio.

That’s right, the comedy from creator Mike O’Brien will return for a new and third season on the still-unnamed and yet to be launched streaming service.

“I’m so overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from the fans,” O’Brien said Wednesday in a statement. “The cast and I are thrilled that we get to make more and I’m excited to work with the NBCU streaming platform.”

O’Brien also credited fans for the series’ return with the #SaveAPBio social media campaign:  “This happened because of all you guys! We’re extremely thankful!”

A.P. Bio followed a disgraced Harvard philosophy professor turned high school biology teacher. It starred Glenn Howerton and Patton Oswalt. It was canceled by the network after two seasons in May.

The Hollywood Reporter was first to report the news.
