A “Party Down” Reunion Could Be in the Cards

Adam Scott and Ken Marino in "Party Down"

Party Down didn’t stay on the air for too long, but that didn’t stop it from achieving cult status after its cancellation. Some of the shows that met the same fate were revived in the last few years, and the same may happen to this underrated sitcom.

The cast and creators of Party Down discussed a possible reunion at a recent Vulture Festival, and most of them seem to be on board with the idea. Don’t get your hopes up just yet though, since we’re not getting the long-rumored follow-up movie.

“I don’t think a movie’s in the cards, but in the next year or two we’ll explore some ways to bring the gang back together,” said Rob Thomas, who created this show with John Enbom, Dan Etheridge and Paul Rudd.

Actress Megan Mullally was also on board with the idea, while Jane Lynch described her days on set as “truly a blessed time” and “the most fun I had doing a job”. They starred alongside Adam Scott, Ken Marino and Lizzy Caplan in this sitcom about a group of caterers who are dreaming of making it big in Hollywood until it was canceled in 2010 after two seasons.
