A reality dating series inspired by Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice has been ordered at Peacock.

Titled Pride and Prejudice: An Experiment in Romance, the series will have a format that will see a “heroine” looking for her “duke”. The show will take place in a castle in the countryside and eligible suitors will have to win the heart of the heroine and her court. Between carriage rides and boat rides on the lake to archery and handwritten letters to communicate, contestants will transport to a Regency-style England to see if they can find true love.

Anthony Dominici serves as executive producer with Sharon Levy, DJ Nurre, and Michael Heyerman.

Pride and Prejudice: An Experiment in Romance will be one of the few unscripted reality shows on Peacock. It joins Vanderpump Dogs and other reality TV shows like Top Chef Family Style and a competition based on the arcade game Frogger are in the works.

The show is currently casting so if you’re sick of modern dating, sign up here.
