John Krasinski is officially returning to direct the sequel to the horror hit.

Multiple sources report that Krasinski, who directed and starred in the original and who was already on board to write the sequel, has been set to direct the sequel to A Quiet Place. Krasinski confirmed the news himself via Instagram captioning a picture of the infamous red lights with “…time to go back. #PartII 5-15-20.”

But there’s more news! Sources also report that Paramount is in talks with the stars of the film for the sequel, which means we could be seeing Emily Blunt and kid stars Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe reprise their roles.

The film followed an isolated family of four that must live in silence while hiding from creatures that hunt by sound.

A sleeper hit, A Quiet Place only cost $17 million to make but went on to gross $188 million domestically and $144 million internationally.

A sequel was announced by Paramount in August. The second installment of the horror sensation is expected to arrive in theaters in the summer of 2020.
