The network’s president revealed that they have a new project in the works and that it is set to feature a strong female lead.
Now that the network’s hit female-led Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend are coming to an end, Mark Pedowitz confirmed that the network has a new and exciting project in gestation about the life and music of singer-songwriter Rickie Lee Jones.
Pedowitz revealed the news during the network’s TCA executive session.
The forthcoming scripted series is titled The Horses after one of Jones’ songs and is still looking for a writer.
The musician, born in 1954 began her career at age 19, which means she has a career that spans over five decades. She is also a two-time Grammy Award winner.
