The Younger universe is expanding.
Multiple sources confirm that a Younger follow-up series is in early development from ViacomCBS and series creator Darren Star. It is reported that the spinoff will be built around Duff’s character, editor Kelsey Peters.
The yet-unwritten pilot for the spinoff does not currently have a network attached.
En route to season seven, Younger is TVLand’s longest-running original scripted series. The series centers on Duff’s co-star Sutton Foster’s Liza Miller, a 40-year-old divorcee posing as a millennial in order to return to the book publishing industry.
A TVLand spokesperson declined to comment.
