Horror master Robert Eggers is currently plotting a new remake of the film Nosferatu and its cast is getting more amazing by the day. Aaron Taylor-Johnson just joined the all-star cast of Eggers’ upcoming remake of the iconic horror classic.

Taylor-Johnson will take on the role of the character Friedrich Harding, and he’ll be in pretty good company on the set of this film. The star-studded cast of Nosferatu includes Lily-Rose Depp, Bill Skarsgard, Nicholas Hoult, Willem Dafoe, and Emma Corrin. Simon McBurney and Ralph Ineson are among the latest cast members to join the impressive ensemble.

Eggers’ reimagining of Nosferatu tells the gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman (Depp) in 19th century Germany and the ancient Transylvanian vampire (Skarsgard) who stalks her, bringing untold horror with him. It’s based on a silent German horror film from 1922, which drew inspiration from Bram Stoker’s seminal novel Dracula.

Taylor-Johnson most recently starred in the action blockbuster Bullet Train, and Nosferatu is only the latest on the long list of promising projects he has on the way. He’ll soon play the titular role in the Marvel/Sony superhero flick Kraven the Hunter, and he’s also set to star in the action thriller The Fall Guy alongside Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt.
