After 7 seasons, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D comes to an end and ABC is looking for a new show to fil the big void the superheroes series leaves behind. Deadline is now reporting that the network is in “active talks” with Marvel about a new female-led show.

It is still not clear what this show will be, the only detail known is that it will probably not be a project that was already reported. “I have spoken to Marvel and we are in active talks about one project in particular,” ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke said. “The character(s) would be something brand new, mostly.”

ABC has tried not to rely solely on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D in the superheroes department but its other projects did not last long. Agent Carter was canceled after two seasons and Inhumans survived only one season. The network has already tried to develop other projects that didn’t pan out, projects as Damage Control, Marvel’s Most Wanted or another show that was described as similar to Jessica Jones.
