Only a few days after Kate Walsh announced her return to Grey’s Anatomy, Abigail Spencer is following in her footsteps. She’s set to guest star on Season 18 of the beloved medical drama, reprising the role of Dr. Megan Hunt.

Spencer made her Grey’s Anatomy debut in 2017, when she first played the role of Megan Hunt, the younger sister of Dr. Owen Hunt, who served in the U.S. Army as a trauma surgeon by his side. She appeared in a total of six episodes and made her last appearance during Season 15.

Spencer is a welcomed addition to the cast, especially after several fan favorites, including Jesse Williams, Giacomo Gianniotti, and Greg Germann, announced their departure. She’ll make her first appearance in Season 18 during the season premiere on September 30th, also set to star Kate Walsh as Addison Montgomery and Kate Burton as Ellis Grey.

Season 18 is shaping up to be filled with amazing guest star appearances, but that’s not anything new when it comes to Grey’s Anatomy. The last season also featured surprise comebacks of several former stars, including Patrick Dempsey, T.R Knight, Chyler Leigh, and Eric Dane.
