Adam Sandler’s collaboration with Netflix led to several successful movies, and it seems that another one is on the way. The famous comedian will make another foray into drama with the role in The Spaceman of Bohemia.

Based on Jaroslav Kalfar’s novel of the same name, this film centers on an astronaut who travels to Venus in search of mysterious intergalactic dust. As he ponders the life he left behind, he finds an unlikely companion in a mysterious creature lurking in the shadows of his ship.

Johan Renck, who won two Emmys for his work on the historical series Chernobyl, is on board to direct. In an official statement announcing the project, Renck said he’s “profoundly excited” to set off on this journey alongside Sandler and his brilliant Netflix family.

Sandler is no stranger to collaborating with Netflix. He signed his first four-movie deal with this company back in 2014, and renewed it back in January, for a reported $275 million. Hubie Halloween is his latest project to premiere on Netflix earlier this month.
