After newcomer Jabari Banks landed the lead role of Will in Peacock’s The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reboot, officially titled Bel-Air, the series has now found the remainder of its cast. Among the additions are Arrow’s Adrian Holmes and Luke Cage actress Cassandra Freeman, who will portray Uncle Phil and Aunt Vivian, respectively.

The Banks family is rounded up by Olly Sholotan, who got the role of Carlton, Coco Jones, who stars as Hillary, and Akira Akbar, who will play Ashley, the youngest member of the family. The role of Will’s friend Jazz, who was one of the favorite characters in the original sitcom, went to Jordan L. Jones. The rest of the cast also includes Jimmy Akingbola and Simone Joy Jones.

Bel-Air is based on a fan film by Morgan Cooper, which reimagines the original sitcom as a drama. The story will be set in the modern-day and will lean on the premise of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air but with more focus on “inherent conflicts, emotions, and biases,” according to the Peacock.

The show received a straight-to-series order back in July 2020, with the streamer committing to two seasons right away. Will Smith, who starred as will in the original, serves as an executive producer while Cooper will write and direct.
