The seventh season of Rick and Morty is just around the corner, and Adult Swim gave us a glimpse of things to come. The first trailer for Season 7 of the acclaimed animated series is here, and it sees the titular duo embarking on another epic adventure by each other’s side.

Rick and Morty will return for its seventh season on October 15, and here’s what we can expect from its next chapter, according to Adult Swim’s press release:

“Rick and Morty are back and sounding more like themselves than ever! It’s season seven, and the possibilities are endless: What’s up with Jerry? EVIL Summer?! And will they ever go back to the high school?! Maybe not! But let’s find out!”

Rick and Morty will undergo many changes when it returns for Season 7. Justin Roiland, who co-created the series alongside Dan Harmon and voiced several characters, including Rick and Morty, will no longer be a part of the show, and his replacement is yet to be announced.

Initially conceived as a short parody of Back to the Future, Rick and Morty grew into one of the most popular animated series of the 21st century. It was met with critical acclaim following its premiere in 2013 and received multiple accolades, including two Emmy Awards for the outstanding animated program.
