Disney has released the first full-length trailer for the live-action remake of Aladdin, and it’s shining, shimmering, splendid!
We have already booked our magic carpet rides for the 24th of May when Mena Massoud takes on the role of Agrabah’s favourite street urchin.
Much concern was directed at Will Smith’s portrayal of the beloved Genie following the teaser trailer released last month, but the official trailer has given fans less reason to feel blue.
Massoud and Smith will not be navigating this whole new world on their own, as Naomi Scott will be playing Princess Jasmine, Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, and Alan Tudyk as the voice of Iago.
Guy Ritchie is helming the project which is set to include all of our favourite songs as well as two new ones courtesy of Oscar-winning songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
Aladdin flies into cinemas on the 24th of May.
