Disney+ has many amazing Marvel projects in development and Ironheart is one of its most highly-anticipated new shows right now. Its cast is getting more amazing by the day, and Alden Ehrenreich is the latest actor to join it in a mystery role.

Ironheart centers on Riri Williams aka Ironheart, a genius inventor who creates a suit of armor that rivals Iron Man’s. Dominique Thorne was cast in the titular role and she’ll make her MCU debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever before appearing in this series.

In addition to Williams and Ehrenreich, the cast will also include Anthony Ramos, Harper Anthony, and Manny Montana, joining the project in undisclosed roles, and Lyric Ross, who was cast as Williams’ best friend.

Ironheart was created by Chinaka Hodge, who serves as a head writer, while Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes are set to direct three episodes each. The series will feature a total of six episodes, and filming is taking place in Chicago and Trilith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ironheart will mark Ehrenreich’s first Marvel project, but he’s no stranger to collaborating with Disney. He previously played young Han Solo in Solo: A Star Wars Story, and he’s currently attached to Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Elizabeth Banks’ Cocaine Bear.
