Alexander Skarsgård Joins “Succession” Season 3

Alexander Skarsgård will be joining HBO’s Succession Season 3.

The actor will play Lukas Matsson, a tech founder and CEO who’s both successful and confrontational. Skarsgård joins the cast that includes Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook, Hiam Abbass, Nicholas Braun, Peter Friedman, Matthew Macfadyen, Alan Ruck, Rob Yang, and more.

Skarsgård previously starred in HBO’s Big Little Lies and he won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for the role. He also starred in HBO’s True Blood and Generation Kill. His recent TV roles include The Little Drummer Girl and The Stand and his film roles include Godzilla vs. Kong, The Aftermath, Long Shot, and The Legend of Tarzan.

The show was created by Jesse Armstrong, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer. Also executive producing are Adam McKay, Frank Rich, Kevin Messick, Will Ferrell, Jane Tranter, Mark Mylod, Tony Roche, Jon Brown, and Scott Ferguson.

Production of the show was supposed to start early last year, but it’s been delayed due to the pandemic. Currently, Season 3 is in production in New York.
