It’s been over a decade since Jim Rash and Allison Janney teamed up for The Way Way Back, and they’re finally gearing up for another collaboration. The Oscar-winning actress will play the lead role in Rash’s upcoming film Miss You, Love You alongside Andrew Rannells.

Miss You, Love You will center on a grieving woman (Janney), who reaches out to her estranged son to help her plan the funeral of her husband who recently passed away. He refuses to come home, sending his personal assistant to make arrangements instead, forcing Janney’s character to come to terms with her loss in the presence of a complete stranger.

This marks the first collaboration between Janney and Rash since the 2013 comedy The Way Way Back, which he co-directed with Nat Faxon, and he can’t wait to reunite with the Oscar-winning star.

“If I could direct every single movie with the remarkable Allison Janney starring, I would. To pair her with the wonderful Andrew Rannells makes this a dream cast for me. As with all of my projects, actors are contractually obligated to be my best friends, which is a huge win-win for them,” said Rash in a statement.

Nat Faxon will join Rash as one of the producers of this promising project, which will kick off production in New Mexico next month.
