Horror comedies are all the rage in Hollywood these days and Amazon has another one on the way this fall. The first look at Kiernan Shipka in Totally Killer is here and it sees the young actress traveling back to the 80s to prevent a series of mysterious murders.

Directed by Nahnatchka Khan, Totally Killer centers on 17-year-old Jamie (Shipka), who comes face to face with the infamous Sweet Sixteen Killer, after ignoring warnings from her overprotective mother Pam (Julie Bowen).

After the killer strikes again in the present time, Jamie travels back to 1987, where she must team up with the teenage version of her mother (Olivia Holt) in an attempt to take down the sinister killer, so she wouldn’t end up stuck in the past forever.

Charlie Gillespie, Lochlyn Munro, Troy Leigh-Anne Johnson, Liana Liberato, Kelcey Mawema, Stephi Chin-Salvo, Anna Diaz, Ella Choi, Jeremy Monn-Djasgnar, Nathaniel Appiah, Jonathan Potts, and Randall Park also star in this horror-comedy, set to premiere on Amazon on October 6.

Shipka most recently starred in the HBO mini-series White House Plumbers, and she has several highly-anticipated projects on the way. She’ll appear in the Christmas movie Red One alongside Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson, and we’ll also get to see her in the teen rom-com Sweethearts and the disaster movie Twisters.
