Amazon Prime Video recently shared an exclusive sneak peek video featuring some of their most exciting new projects. This clip offered a first look at some of their highly-anticipated shows and movies, starting with Mr. & Mrs. Smith starring Donald Glover and Maya Erskine.
This series is a TV reboot of Doug Liman’s hit action-comedy film that starred Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. It was released back in 2005 and followed a married couple whose lives turn upside down after it turns out they’re both assassins hired to kill each other.
Amazon decided to put a twist on this story almost two decades later, with Donald Glover and Phoebe Waller-Bridge in the lead roles, but she later decided to drop out. Maya Erskine eventually replaced her, while the supporting cast is set to include Parker Posey, Wagner Moura, Michaela Coel, John Turturro, and Paul Dano.
Mr. & Mrs. Smith is expected to premiere this November, but Amazon Prime Video is yet to reveal its official release date and plot details.
The streamer teased several other projects in this exclusive sneak peek, including the second season of Good Omens and The Summer I Turned Pretty, both premiering this July. They also gave us a first look at the new seasons of the epic fantasy series The Wheel of Time, The Boys spinoff Gen V, and the second season of the action series Reacher, among others.
