Amber Tamblyn is the newest cast member to join the drama pilot based on the DC comic book series Y: The Last Man.
The post-apocalyptic science fiction DC Comics series by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra is set in a world where only one man has survived and women rule the new world order.
Tamblyn is set to join the already announced stellar cast that includes Diane Lane, Barry Keoghan, Imogen Poots, Lashana Lynch, Juliana Canfield and Marin Ireland. According to Deadline Tamblyn will play Mariette Callows. Daughter of the President of the United States who has been groomed for a career in politics and to uphold her father’s conservative values.
Y is helmed by executive producers and showrunners Michael Green and Aida Mashaka Croal. The pilot will be directed by Melina Matsoukas and produced by FX Productions.
