Fans of American Horror Story spent years waiting for the return of Cordelia Foxx and her coven of witches. Ryan Murphy has finally answered their prayers by sharing the first look at the upcoming season eight. The ladies of Miss Robichaux’s Academy are back to black and they’re ready to enchant us once again!
The photo posted by Murphy features a lot of familiar faces, including Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Emma Roberts, Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe, and Taissa Farmiga. Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks who made a cameo as herself on two episodes of Coven is also ready for some more witchcraft.
The upcoming season Apocalypse will be an epic crossover between previous cycles Murder House and Coven. The storyline involves the demon child from the show’s first season all grown up. Fans are guessing it’s up to the witches of the Coven to stop him from rising to power.
Some of the actors returning for American Horror Story: Apocalypse appeared in both previous seasons that are being mixed up in this new one. It’s still unclear if this fact is going to be addressed, and if there’s going to be any duality to their characters. That’s one of the many questions surrounding new season, but we’ll get all the answers when Apocalypse finally comes to FX on September 12.
