Annette Bening is in talks to join the Kenneth Branagh-helmed adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile.
Should the four-time Oscar nominee board the film, she is set to play Euphemia alongside previously cast Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Tom Bateman, Letitia Wright and Branagh, who will be reprising his role as detective Hercule Poirot.
Branagh will direct from a screenplay based on the 1937 fiction book by Christie adapted by Michael Green. Judy Hofflund, Simon Kinberg, Ridley Scott, Kevin Walsh, and Mark Gordon are producing.
Death on the Nile is a follow-up to Branagh’s 2017 Christie adaptation Murder on the Orient Express.
The film is slated for an October 9, 2020.
