Anthony Mackie is a busy man, but he always finds enough time to add another epic project to his resume. Marvel actor will take a break from saving the world while filming the psychological thriller The Woman in the Window.

The upcoming film centers on an agoraphobic woman, leading a lonely life in her New York City home. She spends her days day-drinking, watching old movies and spying on a wealthy family in her neighborhood. Her life is completely changed after she witnesses a horrible crime in the house across the street, but no one believes her story – not even police.

Amy Adams will play the lead in the movie that’s also starring Gary Oldman and Julianne Moore as the couple next door. The Woman in the Window is based on a bestselling novel by A.J. Finn, with Pulitzer winning playwright Tracy Letts is the one in charge of penning the script. Joe Wright, the director behind the critically acclaimed adaptations of Pride & Prejudice and Atonement, will bring A.J. Finn’s book to the big screen.

It’s still unclear who’s Mackie going to play in this psychological thriller, but The Woman in the Window isn’t the only project keeping him busy. He recently joined the second season of Altered Carbon on Netflix.
