After starring in Set It Up and Anyone But You, Glen Powell is shaping up to be one of the biggest rom-com stars of his generation. He recently discussed his love for this movie genre in an interview with Vogue and revealed the list of his favorite romantic comedies of all time.
Powell listed How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, 10 Things I Hate About You, When Harry Met Sally, and Legally Blonde as some of his favorite rom-coms, but none of them can compete with his favorite romantic comedy of all time – My Best Friend’s Wedding.
To make the whole thing even better, its star Dermot Mulroney appeared by his side in Anyone But You and gave him great advice about embracing his status as the budding rom-com star.
“He said, at the time, it was really hard for him to own being a romantic lead and being a rom-com man. And he said, ‘Dude, just embrace it.’ He’s like, ‘There’s no better privilege than to represent love in movies.’ And I’m really glad he said that,” he recalled.
Powell currently stars in Will Gluck’s romantic comedy Anyone But You alongside Sydney Sweeney, which opened in theatres on December 22.
