If period dramas happen to be your favorite genre, Apple TV’s upcoming series The Buccaneers will be your cup of tea. The adaptation of Edith Wharton’s final novel is coming our way this fall, and the streaming giant just unveiled a series of first-look photos.

The Buccaneers draws inspiration from Wharton’s unfinished final novel and it’s set in London during the 1870s. It follows a group of fun-loving young American girls, who find themselves stuck in the middle of a cultural clash after being sent across the pond to secure husbands and titles.

Their mission proves to be more difficult than they’ve expected, as they find themselves in the middle of a land of the stiff upper class. Their hearts are set on much more than finding suitable matches and they quickly learn that saying “I do” is just the beginning of their journey.

The ensemble cast of The Buccaneers includes Kristine Froseth, Alisha Boe, Josie Totah, Aubri Ibrag, Imogen Waterhouse, Mia Threapleton, Christina Hendricks, Josh Dylan, Barney Fishwick, Guy Remmers, and Matthew Broome. The series will feature a total of eight episodes, set to arrive on Apple TV+ on November 8. It will premiere with three episodes, while the remaining five will be released weekly.
