After years of playing supporting roles, Maya Rudolph has finally gotten a star vehicle she deserves with Loot—and she’s not going anywhere! Apple TV+ just renewed this rookie comedy series for its well-deserved second season.

Loot premiered on Apple TV+ on June 24 and it centers on a billionaire Molly Novak, who embarks on a journey of self-discovery after divorcing her husband of 20 years. She decided to reconnect with the real world and dedicate herself to a charitable foundation that she’s previously neglected after receiving an $87 billion divorce settlement.

In addition to Rudolph, Loot also stars Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Joel Kim Booster, Nat Faxon, Ron Funches, and Stephanie Styles. The series was created by Matt Hubbard and Alan Yang, who are executive producing the project alongside Rudolph through Animal Pictures.

In an official statement announcing the show’s renewal, Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+, praised Loot for capturing the hearts of global audiences and added that they can’t wait for Season 2.

“Thanks to Maya, Alan, Matt, and the entire incredibly talented Loot cast and creative team who have created a show filled with captivating and endearing characters, and hilarious and heartwarming moments throughout each episode,” said Cherniss.
