It’s only been a week since The Big Door Prize premiered on Apple TV+ and its future is looking pretty bright. The streaming giant renewed the sci-fi comedy led by Chris O’Dowd for its second season.

The Big Door Prize focuses on the residents of the small town of Deerfield, whose lives are turned upside down after they discover a magical, destiny-predicting machine at a local grocery store.

In addition to Chris O’Dowd, the series also stars Gabrielle Dennis, Ally Maki, Josh Segarra, Damon Gupton, Crystal Fox, Djouliet Amara, and Sammy Fourlas.

David West Read, who developed this show for Apple TV+, thanked the streamer for the incredible opportunity to keep building the magic and mysteries of The Big Door Prize with its remarkable ensemble cast.

“We are so grateful to the audiences around the world who have already embraced the weird little hopes and dreams of our Deerfield residents, and we could not be more excited about where we plan to take them in season two,” said Read in a statement.

The Big Door Prize premiered on Apple TV+ on March 29. Following the three-episode premiere, the remaining seven episodes will stream weekly, and Season 1 will conclude with the big finale on May 17.
