Apple TV+ has given us one of the most delightful new series of 2023 with Platonic, and its future is looking bright! Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen are coming back for some more shenanigans in the second season of this acclaimed comedy series.
Platonic stars Byrne and Rogen as Sylvia and Will, two former BFFs who try to reconnect and rekindle their friendship years after the rift that drove them apart. In addition to the leading duo, this series also stars Luke Macfarlane, Tre Hale, Andrew Lopez, and Carla Gallo.
Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco, who co-created this series for Apple TV+, confirmed the show’s renewal for Season 2 and promised that Sylvia and Will’s relationship will stay strictly platonic in the show’s next chapter.
Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+, said they can’t wait for the viewers to see the comedic mayhem that Will and Sylvia will pull off in Season 2, and praised the creative duo that brought these characters to life.
“Since the first episodes of Platonic debuted on Apple TV+, global audiences have been charmed by the hilarious, wildly fun, and relatable friendship that Rose and Seth have brought to life through their charismatic performances,” said Cherniss in a statement.
