Ariana Grande and The Weeknd are one of the best dynamic duos on the modern pop scene, and their partnership is a gift that keeps on giving. They recently revealed that they hit the studio to record another song by each other’s side.

This time around, the duo is joining forces to record a new remix of The Weeknd’s track “Die For You” from his chart-topping 2016 album Starboy. Grande confirmed the news by sharing a short video from the studio, which sees her singing the lyrics, “You know what I’m thinkin’, see it in your eyes/ You hate that you want me, hate it when you cry.”

She captioned the clip by writing, “Wrote and recorded a verse for my friend after a 14-hour day on set. This certain exception had to be made…” The Weeknd also teased the collaboration by reposting Grande’s video on his Instagram page.

Grande and The Weekend most recently collaborated on the remix of his chart-topping song “Save Your Tears” in April 2021, but they go way back. Their first collaboration “Love Me Harder” was released as the fourth single from Grande’s sophomore album My Everything in 2014, and he was later featured on “Off the Table” from her sixth studio album Positions.
