Ariana Grande broke several major records with her new album Thank U, Next, and she just became the most-subscribed female artist on YouTube. The Grammy winner surpassed the likes of Taylor Swift and Katy Perry to earn this impressive title.

Grande currently holds the record with a total of 32.5 million subscribers, but this isn’t the first time this year she moved boundaries on the popular video-sharing site. She had the biggest debut of 2019 when her video for “7 Rings” received 23.6 million views in its first 24 hours.

The video for her new single, “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored”, had the second-largest premiere of the year thanks to being viewed by more than 21.9 million users in 24 hours. It’s safe to say this video helped her set a new record as her becoming the most-subscribed female artists a few days after she posted it on YouTube.

This video dropped on February 8 – the same day when Grande’s latest album hit the shelves. It was met with positive reactions from critics and broke a string of streaming records shorty after its release.
