Ariana Grande made quite a splash with her latest album Eternal Sunshine, and this week’s Billboard charts reflect its enormous success. In addition to hitting No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with this album itself, she also managed to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart with its latest single “We Can’t Be Friends”.

With 227,000 equivalent album units earned following its release on March 8, Eternal Sunshine easily soared to the top of the Billboard 200 chart. It’s Grande’s sixth studio album to do so, and it scored the largest week of 2024 for any album so far.

“We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” was released as the album’s second single, and it hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week with 32.6 million streams, 4.6 million radio airplay audience impressions, and 9,000 in sales, setting several records along the way.

Grande managed to surpass Taylor Swift as the female artist with the most Hot 100 debut with seven. “We Can’t Be Friends” is her second single from Eternal Sunshine to debut at No. 1, following the success of “Yes, And?”, helping her become the first female artist that managed to produce multiple No. 1 debuting singles on the Hot 100 with two different albums.
