Ariana Grande smashes YouTube record with her “Thank U, Next” music video

Ariana Grande dropped her highly anticipated music video for ‘Thank U, Next’ last Friday (November 30) and it has become an overnight sensation.

The video pays tribute to some of our favorite chick-flicks from the 2000s including the legendary Mean Girls, Legally Blonde, 13 Going on 30 and Bring It On. It also features cameos from Mean Girls actors Jonathan Bennett and Stefanie Drummond as well as Kris Jenner.

The video received 46 million views in just under 22 hours. This is a new YouTube all-time record for most views on a music video in under 24 hours. At its peak, the video was watched by 829,000 viewers simultaneously – another YouTube record.
