Fortnite’s Icon Series featured the likes of Marshmello and Travis Scott, and another A-list star is currently getting ready to join in the ranks. Ariana Grande will enter the realm of the popular video game through the upcoming event, titled “Rift Tour”.
This event has been described as a “can’t-miss musical journey across new realities” that allows gamers to use the “Thank U, Next” singer as a playable character, and she’s as excited about it as we are.
“Working with Epic and the Fortnite team to bring my music to life inside the game has been so fun and such an honor. I can’t wait to join my fans and see all of your reactions to such an unforgettable, magical journey to new realities,” said Grande in a statement.
The upcoming event is being compared to Travis Scott’s “Astronomical”, staged within Fortnite in April last year. It’s expected to pair Grande’s most popular songs with moments based on elements from the game, and it will consist of five shows taking place between August 6-8. Fortnite will also introduce Grande-inspired items that gamers can use to alter their character’s appearance during “Rift Tour”.
