Donald Glover gave us one of the most ground-breaking TV comedies in recent years with Atlanta, and he’s not pumping the breaks on this show anytime soon. FX just announced they renewed this series for its fourth season.

Eric Schrier, president of FX Entertainment, announced the show’s renewal in an official press release and praised the creative team that transformed Atlanta into one of the best-reviewed shows on TV right now.

“What more can be said about Atlanta than the critical acclaim and accolades that Donald, Paul, Dianne, Stephen, and Hiro have earned for two exceptional seasons of what is clearly one of the best shows on television. This group of collaborators and cast have created one of the most original, innovative stories of this generation and we are proud to be their partners,” said Schrier.

Since premiering in 2016, Atlanta won numerous accolades, including two Golden Globes for its first season – best comedy series and best lead actor. That same year, Donald Glover collected two Emmys for this show and made history by becoming the first person of African-American descent to win this award for directing a comedy series.

Atlanta also stars Brian Tyree Henry, Lakeith Stanfield, and Zazie Beetz, and the third season is set to premiere on FX later this year.
