Audrey Hepburn is one of the biggest legends of Hollywood’s Golden Age, and it’s a miracle her life still hasn’t been a subject of a major cinematic masterpiece. That’s about to change very soon since we’re finally getting a TV series about this formidable artist and timeless style icon.

Italian production company Wildside, known for their work on hit shows The Young Pope and My Brilliant Friend, will be in charge of handling this project. The upcoming series will explore Hepburn’s formative years, and it will be based on the 2015 book Audrey at Home, co-authored by Luigi Spinola and legend’s son Luca Dotti.

“In writing the New York Times best-seller, Audrey At Home, Luca and Luigi explored the singularity of Audrey’s real self and discovered along the way that it all matched. The muse, the mother and the later humanitarian all closely relate to a girl that never stopped to be amazed by the gift of life,” read the statement by Wildside.

Audrey Hepburn went down in history as one of the biggest screen legends of all time, thanks to her career-defining turns in Roman Holiday, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and My Fair Lady. She was also a devoted humanitarian, fashion trailblazer and one of the rare performers to reach the coveted EGOT status.
