Avatar: The Last Airbender finally hit Netflix two weeks ago, and its future is looking bright! The live-action anime adaptation has been renewed for two more seasons, and it will conclude with Season 3, following the format of the original series.

According to the streamer’s official synopsis, this series centers on Aang, a young boy known as the Avatar who must master the four elemental powers to save a world at war – and fight a ruthless enemy bent on stopping him.

Gordon Cormier leads the ensemble cast as Aaang, while Kiawentiio and Ian Ousley play his best friends and loyal companions Katara and Sokko. Daniel Dae Kim, Dallas Liu, and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee also star in supporting roles.

Avatar: The Last Airbender debuted on February 22 and made quite a splash during its first week on Netflix. It topped the global TV chart with 154.4 million hours watched by 21.2 million viewers in its debut week and returned to No. 1 during its second week.

Netflix decided to renew Avatar: The Last Airbender for two more seasons following its instant success, and this series will now conclude with Season 3. The live-action remake will thus embrace the same structure as the animated series, which also featured three seasons.
