Hours after Marvel released the trailer for Avengers: Endgame, more than 289 million people watched it, setting a new record for the most viewed trailer in the first 24 hours of release.

The last record was held by the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War that has been watched by 230 million people in the first day of its release. The Avengers marketing team reportedly began marketing the film eight months ago but the new record was unexpected.

With five months to go before the movie is released, fans have been keen to get a glimpse of the blockbuster. The Avengers have produced some great movies in the last two years after all. Infinity was the most successful Avengers movie for a while, and Endgame is expected to break its barriers.

Still, on the trailer, Marvels did a great job keeping its fans from waiting and not knowing what would appear in the film. They refused to offer any clues about the movie, with producer Kevin Feige only confirming it would be released this year.

Thankfully, releasing trailers has become an online thing. So, when Marvel finally did fans the honors, news spread worldwide instantly, with the trailer being shared on multiple platforms. With the high interest, it’s not too early to say Endgame will be one of the most anticipated movies next year. But fans will have to wait to find out what it will offer.
