The Avengers Pay Tribute to Stan Lee

The actors who play the Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have paid tribute to Stan Lee.

The comic book creator passed away yesterday (November 12) at the age of 95. The impact he had is obvious from the sheer quantity of tributes that have been pouring in. Among this list, is the Avengers themselves, who express their appreciation to Stan Lee for creating the comic book franchise which made their careers happen.

Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe shared a picture of Stan in Thor’s helmet. “RIP my friend,” he wrote. “Thank you for the incredible adventures your stories took all of us on. My love and support goes out to all your friends and family.”

Chris Evans aka Captain America wrote on Twitter: “There will never be another Stan Lee. For decades he provided both young and old with adventure, escape, comfort, confidence, inspiration, strength, friendship and joy. He exuded love and kindness and will leave an indelible mark on so, so, so many lives.”

Robert Downy Jr. who plays Iron Man, shared a pic of the two together with the simple caption: “Owe it all to you… Rest in peace Stan.”

Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye, also shared a picture of him and Stan together:

These chosen tributes are among the thousands that have been flooding in since the news was announced. From Hollywood stars to admiring teen fans, Stan Lee touched the lives of so many.
