“Bad Boys for Life” Directors Might Direct “Beverly Hills Cop 4”

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence in "Bad Boys for Life"

17 years after the last movie, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have returned as a cop duo in Bad Boys for Life. The movie, that opened with box office success and positive reviews, also sees the return of Jerry Bruckheimer as a producer. The director sit was taken by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah and it seems that following the success of the movie they will receive further directing jobs.

Rumor has it that the duo is going to direct the new Beverly Hills Cop movie. The 4th installment of the franchise was in development for years and last year it was confirmed that it will go ahead on Netflix. When asked about it, the two directors did not confirm anything but said it “would be a great honor” and that they “really want to do that.”

Bad Boys for Life was El Arbi and Fallah’s Hollywood debut. When asked, Fallah said: “I think Jerry asked us to be available. We are ready, we are ready.”

El Arbi said: “Because it’s our first Hollywood movie, we have to wait until it comes out to know what the reaction is and I think Jerry is waiting for that, God willing, it becomes a success, and then he has an impulse, and then he immediately launches. And we met Eddie Murphy twice and he seems to like us.”
