Bad Bunny’s new album YHLQMDLG already gave us a couple of pretty amazing songs, but his latest is his most daring one yet. “Yo Perreo Sola” sends a powerful message, and sees the reggaeton star rocking a couple of fierce drag looks along the way.
“Yo Perreo Sola” can be translated as “I Twerk Alone” and it tackles the issue many women are familiar with – feeling comfortable and safe enough to dance by yourself at the club. Bad Bunny tried to convey this message by breaking down gender norms and serving a series of show-stopping drag looks.
“Yo Perreo Sola” serves at the fourth single from Bad Bunny’s album YHLQMDLG, and he previously discussed the meaning behind this song with Rolling Stones.
“I wrote it from the perspective of a woman. I wanted a woman’s voice to sing it – ‘yo perreo sola’ – because it doesn’t mean the same thing when a man sings it. But I do feel like that woman sometimes,” explained the Puerto Rican singer.
