The 30th Annual Billboard Latin Music Awards returned to Florida on Thursday night and saw some of our favorite Latin artists gather in one place. It was a night to remember for Peso Pluma, who walked away with a total of eight awards, followed by Bad Bunny with seven.
Peso Pluma came into the night with a total of 21 nominations and eventually rose to the occasion. He emerged victorious in eight categories, including new artist of the year and hot Latin song of the year with his smash hit “Ella Baila Sola” ft. Eslabon Armado.
It was also a huge night for Bad Bunny, who was crowned as artist of the year, after defeating the likes of Peso Pluma, Karol G, Fuerza Regida, and Grupo Frontera. The Puerto Rican superstar collected seven awards out of 15 nominations, including tour of the year and best-selling song of the year with “Tití Me Preguntó”.
The Spirit of Hope recipient Karol G was also among the ceremony’s biggest winners. She walked away with a total of five trophies, including hot Latin songs artist of the year: female and top Latin album of the Year with Mañana Será Bonito.
The 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards took place at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida on October 5.
