Apple TV+ has given us one of its best new shows with Bad Sisters and they’re not letting go of this series anytime soon. The Irish black comedy has been renewed for its second season, following the rollercoaster success of its first chapter.

Bad Sisters centers on the Garvey sisters, who find themselves in the middle of a life insurance investigation following the death of their brother-in-law. While helping their sister grieve the death of her husband, they must grapple with the role they played in his demise.

Sharon Horgan created the show alongside Dave Finkel and Brett Baer, and she said she’s looking forward to getting chilly in the Irish Sea one more time.

“If you’d have told me three years ago that I’d be making a series about five murderous sisters chasing a man around Ireland trying to kill him, I’d have said, ‘Yeah, that sounds about right.’ The response to our show had been beyond what we could have hoped for,” said Horgan in a statement.

Horgan plays one of the main roles on the show, along with Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene, and Eve Hewson as the Garvey sisters. Claes Bang, Brian Gleeson, Daryl McCormack, and Saise Quinn join them in supporting roles.
