Panic! at the Disco will have to find a new bass player since Dallon Weekes announced he is leaving the band. Weekes revealed the decision on his Instagram profile saying: “I’m grateful for the chance I’ve had to be part of Panic! At The Disco for nearly a decade. I will always consider myself indebted to those who made me feel welcome to be a part of P!ATD. You changed my life. Thank you all.” The band confirmed the decision by sharing his post on their social media accounts.

The 36-year-old multi-instrumentalist will now focus on the I Don’t Know How But They Found Me project he started with Falling In Reverse drummer Ryan Seaman. The duo made their debut on December 6, when they performed at Emo Nite.

Dallon Weekes joined Panic! at the Disco in 2009, as a replacement for the departing bass player Jon Walker. Although he was a touring member of the band at the beginning, he officially joined the full-time lineup in 2010. He had a major influence on band’s fourth studio album titled Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die, for which he co-wrote majority of the songs. In 2015, however, his status was changed to “touring only” once more, after he stopped contributing creatively to the band’s work.

With Dallon Weekes walking away, the lead vocalist Brendon Urie remains as the only full-time member of the Panic! at the Disco. He is backed by a group of touring musicians, most of which joined the band in 2016. The most recent band’s release was a live album All My Friends, We’re Glorious, recorded during the Death of a Bachelor Tour and released on December 15, 2017.

Panic! at the Disco also introduced a new holiday-themed song recently, titled Feels Like Christmas.
