BBC’s “The Capture’s” Renewed For Second Season

The BBC surveillance thriller The Capture will be returning for a second season.

The first season followed the arrest of an innocent man (Callum Turner) and turned into a multi-layer conspiracy with manipulated evidence. Detective Inspector Rachel Carey (Holiday Grainger) is hired to investigate the case and she learns that the truth is more complicated than it seems.

The second season will start off where Season 1 ended with Carey joining forces with the correction team she was once trying to expose.

Executive producer David Heyman (Harry Potter) and creator and director Ben Chanan will return for the second season. “Rachel Carey falls deeper into the dizzying world of fakery and disinformation. She has only just scratched the surface of this conspiracy,” said Chanan.

Grainger said Chanan’s “meticulously researched world challenges the boundary between possible and probable dark truths and constantly keeps you guessing.”
