Turning 30 is a huge step in everyone’s life and Bebe Rexha is welcoming a new age with smile on her face and open arms in reflective new single “Not 20 Anymore”.
The Grammy-nominated artist shared the video for this song just in time for her birthday, but she didn’t shed the light on herself alone The video for this song also features several men and women in their 20s, describing their dreams and struggles at the turning point in their lives.
With “Not 20 Anymore”, Bebe Rexha tried to create another empowering strong, because she feels very strong and beautiful at this point in her life, despite the constant ageism she faced in the music industry.
“Everybody is so scared about their age. All my life I’ve been kinda made to be insecure about my age, especially as a female. We’re always made to feel like that when we get older, we’re uglier. I’m a strong-a—woman,” said Rexha on Instagram.
“Not 20 Anymore” is set to be featured on her upcoming sophomore studio album, alongside her previous solo single “Last Hurrah”.
