Becky G already has several acting credits under her belt, and she’s circling her biggest role yet. The Latin superstar is eying the lead role in Queen of Flow, Peacock’s upcoming adaptation of the Colombian telenovela La Reina Del Flow.

Queen of Flow has been described as a “Count of Monte Cristo-esque tale set against the backdrop of Latin music” and it centers on a young singer Yeimi, who must deal with the dark secrets from her past as she rises to the top of the music world.

The original Colombian telenovela was produced by Sony Pictures Television and Caracol Televisión and it starred Carolina Ramírez, Carlos Torres, and Andrés Sandoval. It stayed on the air for two seasons and found a bigger audience after streaming on Netflix.

The new version hails from Westbrook Studios and Universal Television, with Jorge Reyes writing the script. He previously served as a writer on the crime drama Queen of the South, the adaptation of the telenovela La Reina del Sur.

Becky G has mostly been busy with her music career in recent years, but she’s no stranger to acting. She played the Yellow Ranger in Power Rangers in 2017 and most recently starred in Good Mourning, directed by Machine Gun Kelly.
