Two of Hollywood’s best friends are teaming up for another project.

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon famously brought us Good Will Hunting for which they won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.

The pair will now lend their writing (and acting!) skills to the new film from Ridley Scott.

Entitled The Last Duel, the movie is set in the 14th century and has been described as a revenge story between two best friends, one of whom is a knight, while the other is a squire.

Affleck will play the knight, Jean de Carrouges, alongside Damon’s squire, Jacques Le Gris, both of whom must fight in a duel to the death after Jean accuses Jacques of raping his wife.

The actors will co-write the screenplay with Nicole Holofcener who co-wrote the 2019 Oscar-nominated film Can You Ever Forgive Me?
